Dr. David Lawrence Brown, MD

Developed sensory, deformity and extreme pain caused by nerve damage after surgery . He was never available to help or see me post-op with all these complications including a hematoma which has caused permanent damage to my left leg and foot.

Dr Brown has been great through all our interactions. He’s calm, he smiley, talks and listens. He’s informative and I feel comfortable when I know I have to see him. When I got sad news, he called me directly. Not his staff; him! While I greatly appreciate his staff for their kindness as well, I have to say he awesome. He checks on me. He put me with knowledgeable people after my diagnosis. They are a team that gets things done. I am satisfied with my results after reconstructive surgery. Bless him, his staff and their families!!

He ruined my life. I went to him to feel better about my self and reduce my breasts. I am literally scarred for life. He had so much fun with that knife on my breasts. I literally have never seen any scars like mine. The only thing you can notice about my breasts are how bad my scars are. I have had numerous friends get a breast reduction and none of their scars look like mine. In fact, none of their scars were cut under neath the breasts. Only from the nipple down. He legit cut all around my my breasts. He needs to get updated on technology and the new techniques that are being performed. I regret the day I walked into that office. Please do your research and look elsewhere. And then to top it off, every time I had a concern and wanted to see him I had to wait 2 months for an appointment. Unbelievable.

Once you have your initial visit with him, it takes over six months to get anything else done with this doctor. So he is saying my kid should go without being able to hear for 8 months. Then when you do see him, U of M has a poor billing department and what cost me a co pay at another facility now costs TONS of money. U of M says their hands are tied. Poor service overall. The hospital is dirty looks like it has not been cleaned in 10 years. We had one of the first appointments of the morning and there was dirt all over the floor.

I am so thankful for the care and expertise that I received from Dr. Brown. My reconstruction took three operations total, and I felt completely confident in his abilities the whole time. He really took the time to listen to me, and he has the best bedside manner and sense of humor. Thank you Dr. Brown and the University of Michigan!

I've seen Dr. brown a few times now. He is so nice with a great bedside personality, he really cares. He takes the time to listen to everything you have to say and then does not rush his opinions of the issue. He takes plenty of time to be sure all bases are covered, thinks the solution through, and then takes the time to explain in great detail his findings and answer your questions. You won't find a better doctor!!! Seriously!!!

My results are better than I expected. Dr. Brown was very honest in describing what I would go through and how things would turn out. In the end, things went even better. He was witty, yet caring. Upbeat, yet compassionate. I would highly recommend him.

The office was efficient at getting me in. The staff were friendly. Dr. Brown was caring, smart and had a good sense of humor (which I needed then). I had surgery and everything came out well. Dr. Brown is the best!

Dr. Brown listened to me. He was thorough and accurate. My operation went just as he explained and I am very thankful for his care. I would send any of my family to him.

I had abdominoplasty and my result was unfavorable. My drainage tubes were pulled to quickly so fluid built up. my incision is too high and uneven on one side. My incision sticks out of my jeans and bathing suits. He gave me a nice MUFFIN TOP! My belly button is a flat circle! The entire staff at U of M plastic surgery treated me with disrespect afterwards. Phone calls regarding my post-care were ignored.RUN RUN RUN!!!
