I cannot say enough about the attention to detail, communication style, and expertise of Dr. David B. Stewart. My mom is older and recently had to have a colon resection. During this very stressful time, Dr. Stewart took the time to explain every step of the process in great detail, which immediately reduced our family’s stress (as well as the patient’s). I’m the past few years, we’ve dealt with a dozen doctors on various issues. We’ve never met a doctor like Dr. Stewart. He called us personally with test results as soon as they came in and even gave us his personal cell # post-surgery. In addition to his expertise in Colorectal Surgery, he is personable, genuine, and cares about each of his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Stewart and his capable, responsive staff.

I met Dr. Stewart under very stressful circumstances. A routine colonoscopy discovered a large mass in my ascending colon. During my initial consultation, Dr. Stewart patiently guided me through all of my available options and discussed the pros and cons of each of them. After we made the decision that surgery was the best option for me, he explained in detail all the possible complications, how to minimize each and the plan of action if one occurred. Before surgery, he kept in contact making sure that all of my questions were answered. After the surgery, he stopped by my hospital room every day. His team was up to speed on all the information. I did experience a minor complication. During that time, Dr. Stewart checked with me several times a day and was always within a reach. I am very grateful for his guidance and care through this difficult time.

Repeatedly assured us everything was fine. It was not. Took two other doctors to repair the damage he did.

Helped me with my rectal cancer, and did it laparoscopically.

Rude, uncaring, provides little to no information, hurried, caused fissure during surgery. DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY!

His clinic is very busy, and he was a little late, but he was also apologetic. He was very good at explaining what problem I had, and offering me several options. He did not pressure me toward surgery, and in fact he was willing to work with me to avoid an operation.
