Dr. Buck’s focus includes the treatment of sports injuries in all athletes, including youth, high school, collegiate, and weekend warriors. He specializes in knee and shoulder surgery as part of his sports medicine practice. This includes ACL reconstruction using the quadriceps tendon graft, minimally invasive arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, and ankle, and the use of orthobiologics including platelet-rich plasma for the treatment of sports-related injuries.

In addition to sports medicine, Dr. Buck provides general orthopedics making him a well-rounded orthopedic physician for your entire family. He is proficient in the use of the Sonosite ultrasound for guided injections into joints and soft tissues, and he performs knee replacements using the Zimmer Gender-Specific implant system.

Dr. Buck completed medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine and was a Certified Athletic Trainer providing on-field sports medicine care to injured athletes prior to medical …school. He completed an Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He has an added subspecialty certificate in orthopedic sports medicine and has served as the team physician for local high schools and colleges. Dr. Buck is currently the team physician for Midland University.

Outside of work, Dr. Buck and his wife live in Elkhorn and raise two boys that love to play sports and enjoy the fine arts. They are active in their church and the Elkhorn Community. His hobbies include photography, hunting and fishing, coaching his sons’ sports teams, and martial arts training.

Dr Buck did surgery on both my knees. Pain gone, would highly recommend.

Dr. Buck performed an ACL reconstruction and MCL repair on me after an accident. My care and recovery was excellent. Now, 6 mths later, I have absolutely no issues and I am basically back to normal. I definitely recommend him!

I truly like Dr. Buck and all the staff at GIKK. I recommend Dr. Buck and this clinic to every person I meet that has need of this type of medical attention. I tell them how well I was treated and how this doctor and staff care about my being able to get maximum recovery after my shoulder injury. Dr. Buck listened to what I had to say, explained what was going on inside my shoulder, and what he could do about it. He took his time with me and was honest about what I could expect from surgery and recovery, plus how long recovery would take. When various insurance people were bucking responsibility, Dr. Buck stood up for me and that meant so much. Should I have need of this type of medical attention in the future, I would definitely return to this doctor and this clinic. I am so thankful my husband located this clinic for me. I only have good things to say about all the people I met at GIKK. Thank you.

Fabulous Physician with experience and a sense of caring and knowledge that stands out above all! I would recommend Dr. Buck for all your sports related injuries and accidents. You will not find a more caring and conscientious team including PA Ashley and nursing staff.

My physical therapist made the comment that if he ever needed or knew someone that needed ACL replacement he was going to recommend Dr. Buck on the basis of my experience. Nothing but good to say about the whole experience.
