Dr. David M Burkhart, MD

Just utterly disappointed with the treatment I received from Dr. Burkhart. I could tell based on my high blood pressure and history of substance abuse he decided that I didn't have seizure before I even got into his office. I only disclosed my substance problems because I was having gastrointestinal distress earlier this year and wanted to receive the best treatment possible. I did from a separate doctor but Dr. Burkhart used this information as an excuse to cut me off while I was speaking and make his own assumptions. Move forward to be being home 2,000 miles from his office I called to ask for a referral to Stanford Neurological Clinic and he refused asserting he still didn't believe me. I don't have a primary car physician given I'm I traveling student; he's making my situation much harder than it had to be. I'm now scrambling for a referral and to be seen at the clinic before I go back to Indiana. I talked with friend about him and turns out he told my friend her broken pinky was… just a sprain and she ended up in the emergency room eventually. He has something against young adults that appear alternative to him and should not be someone Indiana University send students to.
