Dr. David Arthur Burrows, MD

Dr Burrows use to be good now all he is a fast food restaurant, never get to see him wait 6 months to get an appointment with him and his medical assistant is even worse attitude and not bedside manners. They need to really look at fixing this or they might not have any clients with all the bad reviews coming at them.

After 3 years of good medical care they made changes to the office staff and it appears to now fall into the category of complete incompetence. The medical professionals (no MD's except for Dr Burrows) apparently lack the required skill to diagnose and treat patients. Burrows is not present -- you will never see him. The front office staff are juvenile and unprofessional -- I heard them discussing patients and confidential matters in the reception area. They handled my care with total disregard for my needs. This is a really bad practice.

Paul Schmidt is an incredible PA. However, the office staff and operation overall has caused me to go elsewhere. I was misdiagnosed and mistreated by another PA, resulting in terrible pain for three months. They made no attempt to address the problem or get it right. It was not until I went to another provider that I received the treatment I needed and had the issue addressed. They don't answer the phone, they don't respond to portal messages, and they allow you to simply slip through the cracks. It's like communication stops at the front desk, and never gets to the physician. I've never seen or met Dr. Burrows, I get the impression he is mostly retired but his name is still on the practice. No one is running the ship, and it's a shame.

I decided to go with Dr. Burrows since he is close to our home. Upon meeting him, I wasn’t too impressed. He looks more like he belongs at a nightclub in Breckenridge than a doctors office. I ignored this first impression and went back to him on several occasions. As it turns out, I should have listened to my first impression. My last visit with Dr. Burrows was for injuries incurred from an accident. He spent less than a minute with me, patted me on the back and promised we’d get it taken care of as quickly as possible. My employer required insurance paperwork which he and his office staff repeatedly filled out partially or not at all. I went back to his office at least 5 times attempting to have the paperwork filled out correctly. Eventually his staff informed me that he didn’t do disability paperwork, leaving me hanging and having to start this process all over again. My impression is that Dr Burrows’ office staff is not treated or paid well. They seem apathetic and not very… impressed with him. He is frequently out of office and hasn’t once returned a phone call. I would highly recommend any other doctor’s office than this one.

Dr. B is awesome. I have been a patient for over 20-years and there is no one I trust more. He takes the time to understand your concerns and knows when to refer you to specialists. My entire family sees him and I have nothing bad to say about him. The only complaint I have is his call center staff. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. You are on hold forever and then the phone rings and nobody answers. God forbid you call after 4:30 because you will be on hold and then disconnected only to call back to get a recording the office is closed. Horrible service from them.

Dr. Burrows is a serious medical practitioner with exceptional diagnoses skills. He keeps abreast of the rapidly changing medical practices, procedures & medications. I remember when my medical research contradicted that of Dr. Burrows. How did he reply? With almost encyclopedia knowledge of the latest research which was followed up via eMail to the latest resources (often the National Institute of Health). For serious, complex and often inter-rated medical conditions, I can't recommend anyone more highly and qualified than Dr. Burrows.

This office has a huge turn over. New people each time I go. The office manager Sara is extremely rude and disrespectful. Dr. Burrows does not return ...

I was shocked to hear he still prescribes Premarin to his female patients, I thought every one knew the dangers of Premarin. He nor his staff follows up on blood tests, or any of the tests taken. I had to call them every time and then wait for days to get a return call. Not pleased at all. I am looking for a new doctor.

I have a very close friend that is 'treated' by this drug dealer, despite all outside testing that was done, this man continuously prescribed drugs that were in no way necessary and strongly recommended not to be used by other doctors. When you have a morally corrupt individual trusted with people's lives and well being, like burrows, there is no good outcome.
