Dr. David Williams Cardwell

Completely off the wall . I have heard he is practicing in another state. Hope not . Will watch out . He is that bad

I first met Dr. Cardwell in 1988. He diagnosed me with depression and prescribed medication that worked well, although this was pre- Prozac times! After having David cardwell as my Psychiatrist for 25 years I have not found a better doctor and if were not for him I would likely not be live today. And that is after seeing him for many episodes of depression over 25 years. Just an office visit was very calming to me. He would often adjust my medication and I my depression and suicidal ideations would subside. I was startled and confused with the legal allegations brought against him. I would STILL rather he be my Doctor! I can not imagine what caused this episode but the despite the egregiousness of his actions I am certain he is still a good person and deeply remorseful for his actions. I still, and will always wish Dr. Cardwell the very best life possible! I am certain he will also suffer emotional daily as does the victim.

Dr Cardwell has treated my daughter and I for a number of years. He is completely professional. Remembers everything you tell him. Is kind and has been available immediately for my family. A wonderful person who cares about his patients.

Dr. Cardwell is a life saver. I took my mom to see him several years ago after we scooped her up off of the sofa from a fetal position - nothing we EVER expected. While she was visiting with him, another man in the waiting room turned to me and said, "Don't worry. He will save her life. He did it for my daughter when I thought there was no hope." I had a very hard time believing that ANYONE could help my mom at that time, but sure enough, he did. Nothing short of a miracle. He is an amazing, caring, compassionate. brilliant doctor. Go and see him. He can help you!

Dr. Cardwell spent little time with me several years ago when I was getting a second opinion. He was curt and showed little compassion. My primary doctor dismissed his diagnosis.

He is never available. He never returns phone calls or emails. I have to "camp out" in his waiting room to get a prescription refilled. I have had a good relationship with him and I respect his knowledge and opinions, but none of that is worth anything if I can't contact him.

I have seen Dr. Cardwell off and on since I was in high school. He was always very good at cutting through my chatter and getting directly to the point. Having to wait sometimes as much as an hour or two after my appointment time to see him was never an issue because I knew he would spend the same time with me if I truly needed it. Probably around a year ago he started being less professional and accurate. I noticed that he often checked his watch during sessions and that his mind seemed to be on something else while we were talking. Since the start of this downturn I have run out of medication twice because I have not been able to get ahold of Dr. Cardwell and have resorted to sitting in his waiting room until a patient is done and then requesting a perscription. I do not know what has happened - Over a year ago I gave glowing recommendations but this past year I would strongly advise looking for a doctor that has the time for his/ her patients.
