Dr. David Gary Carpenter, DO

I have bee a patient of Dr: Carpenter for 40 years. Today I had an appointment at12:20pm. I showed up at 12:15pm. I waited out in the waiting room for almost an hour before being sent to my room. I waited in the room to see the doctor until 2:05pm. No one ever showed up to see me, so I left. I will be looking for a new doctor. This is no way to treat a patient that has always been on time and never missed an appointment.

this man is disrespectful and has no business dealing with other people.

Thorough and compassionate

This man hurt my back. I waited over an hour for Dr Carpenter. He was terse and condescending. One of my prescriptions was schedule 2 so he didn't want to fill it, which I understand. I can go back to the original prescriber, and that's not really an issue. The other issue I have is extreme chronic back pain stemming from an injury I sustained in the army. Which I informed him about in the beginning. I normally get muscle relaxers from the VA, but it's a trek all the way from Humble. He proceeds to contort my body around in a very aggressive fashion and continued even after I protested that it was painful. He did to me what I can only describe as a "Vulcan shoulder pinch" which was VERY painful and I told him so and he proceeded to ignore me. I'll never go back to either Humble Family Practice location.

Dr. David Carpenter is an amazing and caring physician. There is no better in the profession and I deal with many. He is always educating you on medications and whatever ailment you may have when he sees you. There are not enough words to describe how amazing he is.

Dr Carpenter has been seeing my wife and I for many years and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. He's a great family doctor. Very understanding and thorough. Sometimes I've waited longer than I wanted to, but I think that's the case wherever you go. His medical assistants have obviously learned from him. They are top notch. Looking for a family doctor? don't bother experimenting and just go to Humble Family Practice.

We had an appointment with Dr. Carpenter at 2:45 . We arrived 30 minutes early with the hope they could take us a little early. We knew at worse case we would have an hour wait. We were prepared for that and did not mind. However, two hours later and four trips to the counter to see where we were in the line we were told we were in the #2 position three times. a We were told the The DO. would see us soon. I have always associated #2 with something else. And that is exactly what we got . Two hours and twenty five minutes later a nurse assistant called us up to the window to ask if we would mind seeing another Doctor, Dr. Birnbaum. I asked why would that be necessary when we have been waiting over 2 1/2 hours. If we wanted to see someone else we would have made the appt. with them. She said he just had too many patients and could not get to us. We watched the waiting room clear out two times. All of the people that came in after us had already been seen. Twice, all of… the other people that came in,at least a hour after we did, were seen and had left the building. I have never seen such an incompetent staff. We were so very disappointed at the lack of consideration for our time and lack of recognition of the inconvenience we suffered. The staff could not care less. We had a 4:30 meeting appt. with a very good customer on this day this appt. important to us. We had to cancel the meeting in hopes of seeing Dr. Carpenter and make something of the hours we wasted in his waiting room. WE were so very disappointed. I would not take the time to let you know of our treatment except possibly we can save you the same unbelievable treatment..

Dr. Carpenter actually bragged about keeping patients waiting. This is the only doctor that I have been to that requires an additional office visit (and charged $277) to review the 7 items from a blood test when all were normal

First, my daughter encountered a nurse who was complaining about another patient while giving her a shot. Then, my liver enzymes have been up for the past 1 1/2 years. They did a hepatitis test, which came up negative. No follow up. It was my OBGYN who caught it and ordered an ultrasound which uncovered a fatty liver. None too happy with this group.

Front Desk, and office manager are terrible office runs like a bunch of 14 yesr olds. They are not concerned about you. They cant return calls no matter how important. Dr Carpenter is seldom there Dr Carpenter is seldom there
