Dr. David John Cennimo, MD

Very kind, compassionate, and helpful physician. He's played a large part in saving my life at UMDNJ. Dr. Cennimo, pinpointed the resistant MRSA infection running through me and accurately prescribed the Rx combination needed to fix my issue. While I was in HALO traction upon being released from Kessler, I only had to make one office visit. Dr. Cennimo coordinated with my visiting nurse and family reading and providing feedback on lab results. When the time came to remove the PIC Line after removal of traction, I visited the office one time for instructions and to thank him. The world needs more like Dr. Cennimo. I'm forever thankful.

Agree with other posts I wouldnt and didnt trust this physician.

Hard to fathom how he became the head of ID. I hope no vet has to use this facility for serious infections and be at the mercy of this guy.

I am not a judgemental person by any means, but this is not a doctor that I would recommend to ANYBODY. His so-called expert knowledge when it comes to infectious disease disorders is questionable, treating HIV, Lyme, Hepatitis does not make you a top doctor, these protocols are followed by a pharmacist in other countries. If he can't figure out what's wrong with you, he will tell you that all your symptoms are of non-biological origin, basically code for he believes it's all made-up or in your head. The VA system has been degraded with rude FOB physicians that care less about our vets. They also seem to have orders to reduce the amount of labs and imaging studies being ordered, possibly to save money, which will be catastrophic. Dangerous physicians and facility at the East Orange VA.
