Dr. David Cervi, DO, MSc, PhD, FAAP

David Cervi, DO, MSc, PhD, FAAP, is a board-certified Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist at Michigan State University. Dr. Cervi attended the University of Windsor, Windsor, Ontario for his undergraduate and Master of Science degrees in biological sciences. He then went on to earn his doctorate degree at the University of Toronto in the Department of Medical Biophysics, which focused on the role of angiogenesis in hematologic malignancies. After post-doctorate training at Children’s Hospital Boston, he attended Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, where he then stayed to complete his residency training at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. He then went on to complete fellowship training in pediatric hematology-oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Most recently, Dr. Cervi has served as associate staff of pediatrics at Windsor Regional Hospital in Windsor, Ontario. He has held an adjunct …professorship of Pediatrics at the University of Western Ontario and is currently an adjunct professor, Biomedical Sciences at the University of Windsor.

Dr. Cervi serves as an assistant professor of Pediatrics and Human Development in MSU’s College of Human Medicine providing care for MSU Health Care Pediatric and Specialty Clinics and MSU Health Care Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders. His clinical and research interests include mutational landscapes of tumors, which govern microenvironmental changes to promote growth and metastases. He also has interests in precision medicine, having partaken in the design and implementation of a Phase II clinical trial employing multi-omic algorithms to develop targeted therapies for the treatment of relapsed-refractory cancers at Windsor Regional Cancer Center, Windsor, Ontario.
