Dr. David Lee Christopherson, MD

This doctor was cold, callous, and didn't do a thorough job. He came into the room while the nurses were working, asked me a couple questions based on what I had filled out on the form, pushed on my stomach in a couple areas and left the room. I sat there for 10 minutes before he came back and looked startled that I was there. He asked if they had drawn my blood, I told them they had, and then he left. A couple minutes later a nurse came in and told me I could go and that they would call me when they got the results back. I clearly expressed that I was looking for a primary care physician. I'm not sure if he's just not interested in that, but I left feeling unheard. There was a time in my life where I had to use a free clinic and they seemed to really care. This was the furthest thing possible from that and I feel snookered. This doctor shouldn't have gotten my money. His staff called me today to let me know he was referring me. I'm not lining his buddy's pockets. Stay away.

After going to Dr. Christopherson for a few years, I really think that he is more interested in giving tests that cost you (the patient) a lot of money and writing prescriptions that are expensive too. I have done some research and there are other, cheaper medications that could have been prescribed to me instead of the more expensive ones I have gotten. He has also sent me to have tests that were costly. I actually got a second opinion recently and was not sent to have the same tests. Basically, Dr. Christopherson does not seem concerned whatsoever with his patients' financial status. Yes, I wish I were rich and could afford to get anything done, especially health related, but I need a doctor that understands that I can't afford just anything and will work with me. Dr. Christopherson is okay, he's nice and all, but I'm not wowed.

I've been seeing Doctor Christopherson since I retired out of the military in 1998 and have been seeing him along with my family since. My boys have their own families now and still see him. He's a great doctor and one who truly cares.
