Dr. David J Clarke, MD

When I was pregnant with my first child, I made a point to make appointments with all of the doctors in the practice because I didn't know which one might be on call when I delivered my baby. I already didn't like Dr. Clarke because he was kind of obnoxious and always tried to make jokes about things that weren't funny. When he did my strep B swab, he finished the first part, and then abruptly stuck the swab into my anus. When I reacted, he laughed and said they never tell anyone they're going to do that. I only made appointments with my regular OB for my second and third pregnancies, and that doctor never did anything like that. This was several years ago, and I didn't report him or tell anyone at the practice, because I didn't realize that it wasn't normal.

Dr. Clarke has been my gynecologist for many years. I completely trust and appreciate his medical expertise. Office staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend him and his practice.

I usually see Dr. Daton-collins and LOVE HER. She was out of town on vacation and my daughter which has NEVER seen a gynecologist before was having a issue with her period not stopping for 13 days straight, heavy flow. So we had to go to Dr. Clark , what a nightmare. My daughter was very nervous and one of the questions she did not understand and gave the wrong answer so I told Dr the right answer that she misunderstood and he put his hand up and "hushed" me. I replied "she didnt understand"... he said "mam can you be quiet" I almost lost it. I said nothing and did everything to not respond rudely. Then he wanted to do exam on her and asked me to leave room. For 1 he could have said, "if you would like your mother to stay(which she did) or if not she can wait in waiting room. When he left I asked if she wanted me to stay and she said no she was fine. I told her a nurse would be in here with her and wouldnt be alone with him. After he was done hr came to waiting room and said… loudly at door "has she received her HPV SHOTS"... I walked over to him and inside the hallway proceeded to tell him "no, my sister was a nurse and when they came out she recommended I did not get it"... he strongly disagreed so I told him it was my daughters choice she is 19. I went into room where my daughter was and she said she did not want it and every question she asked him. He made her feel dumb. So I went back in hallway and told him " we are not getting it" ( did not say anything about his conduct I just wanted to leave)... he starts disagreeing with me in hallway saying my sister and I are wrong and she needs it. He said only way she can preventing if she she and boyfriend are both virgins and never sleeps with anyone else"... I told him at this point in her life they are and she is 19 and does not want it. He had total attitude with me. I went back in room and me and my daughter walked out of office. I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS MAN. he knew this was her first time in a office like this and NEVER made her feel comfortable in words or actions. What a disgrace to your office. I have only had amazing visits before with dr. Daton-collins. I had a ablation with her and have sent numerous of women to her. It saddens me that she shares a office with such a pompous ignorant man that has NO BEDSIDE MANNERS TO HIS PATIENTS. If you have had other complaints about him ( which I'm sure you have) take it serious. I have never walked out of a office before until that visit.

Dr. Clarke appears very disheveled with poor personal hygiene. He has terrible bedside manner and is extremely unprofessional. He does NOT explain his exams! This is very unprofessional and upsetting given the nature of his practice. His front office staff is very rude. Overall the worst appointment I have ever experienced!!!

Compassionate doctor who listens to his patients. Takes the time to explain an issues I have.

I reeeeeeeeallllllllly liked Dr. Clarke. Really liked him a lot.

Im sorry you feel that way I have seen this dr for over 11 years and he's great maybe its you who has the problem he's very down to earth

Do not go to this doctor they push him off when you need a earlier appointment and your primary doctor is not available, I would not reccomend him very unprofessional looks unprofessional and does not have any consideration when it comes to pain management. Stay away!!! This doctor gets a 0 RATING
