Dr. David Coffey, DO

He listened to me and was very thorough. He explained what he was going to do before he did it.

Best dam Doctor in the world. He is like a family member. I will show my age byt the only one to copare him to is Dr Marcus Welby

We have never seen Dr. Coffey so this is a review about his "staff". I got a call from his staff wanting to make an appointment for my son. I tried to explain to her that he was not a patient of Dr. Coffey and his Medicare made a mistake but instead of being allowed to explain she said "so you don't want him to see Dr. Coffey?" to which I was trying to answer and she hung up in my face. Even if we were interested in changing physicians, there is no way we would go to this office with a staff attitude like that.

I had been misdiagnosed by another doctor. Dr Coffey listened attentively to my symptoms, knew what questions to ask and immediately scheduled me for the diagnostics that revealed my condition. His knowledge and manner were most appreciated. I highly recommend him to anyone.

I tried contacting dr. Coffeys office numerous times and was unable to reach him. I tried to ask his office assistants where he was and they said in the Sudan-I don't know if this is a joke or what but I'm not laughing. Perhaps he should charge his phone more.

Dr. Coffey doesn't care about how long people have to wait. I was at the office at 1:00, left at 5: 15. He acts like he doesn't want to put his hands on people color. He uses ones own clothes between him and them when he has to put his hands on you. Very poor bedside manners.

NEVER GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!! He acts like he doesn't want to touch people of color and keeps patients waiting in the waiting room for hours (2-4)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr coffey has been my doctor for a number of years and has seen me through some tough spots medically. He is a modern day hero because of his work with Doctors without Borders.The main problem with his practice is that he overbooks so that what should have been a half hour wait turns in to an afternoon in his waiting room.Once you see the doctor though things get much better, Doctor coffey is caring, thourough and knowledgeable. I find his bedside manner byond reproach and he is a doctor that not only finds out whats wrong with you but seems to care while he's doing it. I would say that his treatment methods are aggressive in the sense that instead of a wait and see attitude he likes to attack the problem and get you well.

I was in Jackson Hospital for almost 4 months in 2007 and stuck with him as a doctor. He is the most uncaring doctor that I have ever come into contact with. He would literally blow into my room for 30 seconds and leave and charge my insurance $60 a visit. He couldn't answer any of my questions..NONE! Avoid him at all costs!

Poor bedside manner. Not a real people person. Excessive waits are the norm. But will see you w/o insurance.
