Dr. David Christian Collette

Did preop appointment so surgery could be scheduled 5 weeks later, hoping insurance paperwork could be completed. Waited 4 weeks to check with office on insurance paperwork. None done. I called insurance and after many hours on the phone gave staff form number and instructions for Prior Authorization. Had that done in three days. The staff didn't file for Single Case Agreement until two days prior to surgery. Surgery cancelled the day before. The staff said the surgery would be rescheduled the next week. Docter himself told the dentist he would reschedule surgery for the next week. I called daily and was told a different story. I was placed on hold many times, promised someone would call back, promised they would call if anything changed. Never received a call or the truth. The staff is very incompetent and rude. They don't do their job. Even when you go in person you wait to talk to anyone. I would not recommend the way the staff treat patients and families.

I've been to Dr Collette twice. He is knowledgeable, highly competent, affable, and a pleasure to know. Right now, I'm getting another appointment with him because my normal dentist needed an "expert opinion" concerning a dental matter. I was referred to Dr. Collete's office from my dentist to get some oral surgery done. My experience with this place is the following: 1. The front staff (the ones at the counter) do not communicate very well with the back staff because scheduling is an absolute nightmare. When you get an appointment, expect to wait 45+ minutes before being seen and two out of the three times I waited that long and was ready to leave both times. 2. The front staff have terrible customer service. If you need something from them (a simple receipt) expect some sort of run-around. They seem very comfortable with their job and everything is an inconvenience for them. 3. Dr. Collette is an excellent doctor. So when you are seen, things are gravy (for the most part). He is attentive and calls himself to find out how you are doing...except for... 4. The back staff. They are VERY young and can lead to a little bit of inexperience. I was choked with the saliva straw with zero apologies. I was… absolutely shocked by this. 5. To finish up. It just didn't feel like there was any hospitality. You come in, check in and screw you because most likely you were referred here and you are going to pay regardless. Overall, I am glad to be done with this office.
