Dr. David Mark Coussens, MD

I visited Dr. Coussens for a vasectomy consultation in September. He had decided before we even spoke that he wouldn't let me have the procedure because I wasn't at least 30 with kids (something that he could've explained in the 2 months I waited for him. I'm 27, and 18's the legal age). I couldn't even explain my side--he just kept talking past me. Apparently I was too young to not want kids but not too young to want them. And even if I didn't want them, in Dr. Coussens's eyes, I "might" meet someone who did (I have ended relationships over this matter, and am with someone who shares my views). He also told me he wouldn't charge me, then billed me anyways 2 weeks later. Not only did I have to listen to him play grown-up for me and tell me that I secretly didn't know what I wanted and 'might' regret getting sterilized, but I also had to pay him for it. Thankfully, I had an appointment lined up with another urologist, who agreed that it was my decision. I just got the procedure and am… now relaxing with a bag of frozen peas.

Very professional, thoughtful and caring.,. I have complete confidence in him.

Spends most of the time talking to a tape recorder and rarely talks to the patient.

I have been to this dr's office twice. The first time I spent 2 hrs in the waiting room and another 45 mins in the back waiting for the dr. He finally came in and said it was Obama Care that causes him to be so behind. He ran two test and rescheduled for two months later, promising things would be faster then. During this visit he spent all his time looking at the computer and talking to me while staring at the computer. Very impersonal. Two months later I returned, spent 1 3/4 hours waiting in the waiting room. Once again he blamed it on Obama Care. While waiting in the waiting room I talked with several others and they had been usinig him for years (one 13 yrs)and it was always the same....long wait. Also the computer print out I got the first visit did not describe me at all. I told the nurse that and she filled it out again. Very scarey...Will not be going back. Lots of other doctor around.

Had to wait an 1:30 to 2:00 hours to see dr. At both appt. Had to pay $25 to have them fill out paper work for short term disability. It's been a week they still haven't returned it. Overall they act like they don't have time for me. They say its because they are so busy. They can't tell you that before you set your appt. ????

This Doctor operated on my father and did very little to explain to my family the results of the operation. In days proceeding the operation, we felt we had to corner him to ever receive information from him. The end result, my father has continued to have problems as a result of the surger some 4 months later and Dr Coussens will not see him and refers him to see other physicans. I do not recommend this Dr.

Dr Coussens was wonderful. He found my problem that two other doctors had missed.

Dr Coussens is wonderful. He took the time to explain my condition more than any of my other doctors do. He made me feel very comfortable and was very thorough.

Doctor Coussens was a disappointment. He threw my medical disc away therefore he could not compare the two cat scans to see if condition had worsened. Then he told me nothing was wrong with my kidney, then wrote in HIS doctor's notes that he discussed the hydronephrosis and hydorureter with me, the patient. He is not very thorough. I can not recommend this doctor.
