Dr. Cross completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He attended medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. Dr. Cross has lived in central Illinois his whole life and was always interested in math and science in school. When he decided to go into medicine, he chose pediatrics because of the relationships providers are able to build with patients. "It's so fun because you see them from the beginning to all development stages," he says. "Nothing more precious in life than kids and to trust their health with someone else, getting to build that relationships with families and patients, it's just so rewarding." Dr. Cross and his staff were a breath of fresh air for my family! My girls were comfortable and actually had FUN at their appointments! He was easy to talk to and embraced the individual personalities of both girls, even their energy! We're so glad to have found Dr. Cross and the staff at Springfield Clinic Morton Peds!

Whoa, hold up! Dr Cross came highly recommended to us after we just moved to Morton. Our friends let us know he just started practicing again in the area and we went in for a rash on our kiddo. While there we asked if we could do a COVID vaccine for our 5yo. We went into a speech about how our daughter is more likely to die of the vaccine than she is of COVID and he refuses to give the vaccine. I think we'll find a different pediatrician.

Dr Cross is clearly very well experienced! He listens to our concerns as parents and solves them! I have never felt rushed in an appointment. He takes the time that is needed! I always leave feeling like my child is his favorite patient because that’s how he treats us! Im sure that’s how he treats every patient. He loves what he does and it shows! I highly recommend him.

Dr. Cross has seen my wife since she was a teenager. We brought our first daughter to him, and we're expecting to bring our next child to him as well. He is a great and personable guy, and our daughter loves him and the nurses. We have only ever had positive experiences when dealing with him

Staff does do no make follow up calls when promised. Does not want to listen when told your child can't swallow pills and presribes medications in that form anyway rather than a liquid that has to be taken at school.

I have been taking my (almost) 14 month old son to see Dr cross since he was born. All i can say is, Dr cross is the most AMAZING dr i have seen in my life. Hes great with my son. Hes got some health problems, and Dr cross is always there to reassure me that everything will be okay. He always answers my questions, not only professionally, but as a father himself. Anything that he would want done for his kids he does for mine. I love that i can call anytime 24/7 and i can get answers about anything i need to know whether it be if my son can have a certain food to what he needs as a 14 month old. There are no "stupid" questions when it comes do Dr cross!!

We love taking our 4 month old son to Dr Cross. He is thorough and speaks not only as a doctor, but as a father himself to young children. He makes a point to offer suggestions with non-medical issues when I ask, such as sleep habits, but reassures me that any approach is fine. I like that he doesn't just prescribe prescribe prescribe as so many doctors do; rather he tries to prevent problems from even beginning.

Would not recommend this doctor to anyone!!!!!! He does not respect parent opinions and thinks it is his way or the highway.
