David Blaine Curtis, MD

I first met Dr Curtis following a surgery when I developed a heart issue. He put me very much at ease. As I followed up, the problem was discovered and will be remedied very soon. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr Curtis was assigned to me after my first cardiologist left the area. Ten months after three heart grafts, I started having chest pains and breathing issues again, just like before my open heart. Dr Curtis never did give me a reason except to say "well sometimes that happens". He refused to visit me in the hospital while he was in the hospital even though the emergency room doctor recommended to him that he see me. After I fired him and his associates at Ohio Valley Heart Care, I learned by way of another cath, that my heart surgeon muffed my surgery and bypassed a blocked artery into another blocked artery. The surgeon's notes do not represent the actual actions taken during surgery. Where I come from, when you do one thing and say another. it's called a lie. Dr Curtis never did fess up that the heart difficulties I will have for the rest of my life come from his own failures and failures within his own organization, opting instead of using the time tested "maybe he will just… go away". Also he relies very heavily on nurse practioners. Not that it's a bad thing, especially in the case of Dr Curtis. His office refused to send my file to my new cardiologist team that led me to follow up with a six hour runaround that was only resolved after I asked to see the head of patient relations.
