Dr. David Francis Della Lana, MD

I've never written a review about a doctor but here I am. I have never had a doctor be so incredibly dismissive of my symptoms and talk to me in a condescending way. The other reviewer who says you can tell if he dislikes you is 100% right. He told me that my symptoms were all in my head and there was nothing I could do about it, and he laughed at me when I shared that I'm anemic, citing that "all menstruating women are anemic." I've had doctors who were somewhat cold or abrupt, but Dr. Della Lana was so over the top rude for no reason, openly criticizing me for pronouncing the name of an antibiotic wrong, that I realized this has more to do with him than me. I literally cried after my appointment with him which I have never, ever done. Just awful.

Extremely dismissive, you can tell 10000% if he doesn't like you, he will make it very clear. Will never go back. Said alot of rude comments, I have never felt so terrible after seeing any doctor before.

Dr. Della Lana is very thorough & professional. He took the time and was very articulate in explaining my condition and made sure I understood. He was very patient in listening to my questions & complaints. In my opinion this is what you look for and need in a personal Doctor.

I am a new pt. of Dr. Della Lana and found him to be soo patient and generous with his time. He took his time talking to me and explained fully medical terms. I was very relaxed & impressed with this new Dr.

I saw this doctor in California, not Hawaii. When he asked for history of my symptoms, I told him there was a question of Lyme disease (I had had a tick embedded in me for over a week -- skin around it was so puffed up I couldn't get it out). Dr. Della Lana yelled at me at the top of his lungs, telling me, "We don't have Lyme disease in California!" So, many years later, I now have had positive diagnoses of not only Lyme Disease but also of a serious tick-borne co-infection, Babesiosis. It has wreaked havoc on my body to the point of no return. I would never recommend this doctor.

The guy KNOWS HIS STUFF, and has an easy manner --doesn't get too excited over stuff -- very matter-of fact, knowledgeable, and the kind of REAL doctor I've been hoping for.

Dr. Dellalana seems to be a very caring person, listens and communicates; takes the patient's concerns and views to heart. I feel very comfortable with him and with talking with him.

I am not good with people being close to me. He is constantly in my bubble.
