Most incompetent doctor I have ever seen. His last name suits him well.

Great bedside manners. Spends time his patients and listens to concerns. Extremely knowledgeable and came highly recommended.

This Dr. Is horrible and totally unprofessional.Don't waste your time on him. Not worthit.

Rude and condescending. Did not answer questions.

A minimum of a 3.5 hour wait is expected on every visit! He schedules patients every 15 minutes, spends 30 minutes with each patient and often comes in late. Office personnel are rude, no empathy for any patients. People are in pain, some in wheel chairs and there is no consideration or apology for the long wait. He is a talented doctor who puts money ahead of patients. Why does the medical profession allow such poor practices?

I wish I could write a good review about Dr Dickoff as I am sure based on the positive reviews here that he is an excellent doctor. Unfortunately, despite showing up early for my appointment today, I never got to see him. I traveled an hour and a half on the recommendation of a respected area personal injury lawyer, who will be sure to hear this story, to see Dr Dickoff. I arrived a half an hour early for a 3:30 appointment to fill out any required paper work. Entering the office, I noticed the waiting room was almost completely full of patients who had seemed to be waiting a long time for their appointments, a bad omen. I filled out the paper work and watched as slowly, maybe every half hour (and I’m being generous), a new patient was called. I had noticed at check in that their appointments were written in as a 15 minute blocks in the secretaries check in sheet, another bad omen. At 5pm, 2 hours after I had arrived, there were still two patients ahead of me. At this point I… ask the secretary how much longer it’s going to be. Her response “well there’s still two ahead of you so... at least an hour. The doctor really takes his time with patients” All I could say is “another hour for my 3:30 appointment?” Given that I had an hour and a half drive and a dog to take care of waiting at home, I could not stay for my appointment. Now, I can’t criticize a doctor for taking time with patients because I think there are way too many that don’t, but please, learn how to schedule! You are wasting peoples time and completely disrespecting them by not staying true to appointments! If you are aware that the doctor takes his time then schedule accordingly as it seems his workload is currently to heavy to be as attentive to each patient as he wants to be. It is honestly ridiculous and completely unprofessional. Signed a potential patient who was seeking help who will now find it elsewhere.

After waiting in a filled to capacity waiting room for 3 1/2 hours, Dr. Dickoff offered no apology for keeping the patient/and family waiting. He then proceeded to conduct the appointment by asking questions he full well knew the answer to; some of which were physically evident, and which any professional doctor would have raised with sensitivity. Any questions we posed to Dr. Dickoff were met with disdainful looks and annoyed replies. I sat quietly throughout, allowing the patient to address all conversation. But the one question I did ask, was ignored. I repeated the question two more times, until Dr. Dickoff finally decided to reply, and his reply was "I already addressed that", --- when he had most certainly not. We had seen Dr. Dickoff on two prior occasions, yet the questions he asked were as if he had never seen the patient before. The comments he made pertaining to the patient's appearance of cleanliness were downright offensive, and his complete lack of sensitivity to… the patient, who has special needs, was a reflection of arrogance, rudeness and unprofessional conduct. We had corrected his being misinformed about a certain symptom at the first appointment we had, but two appointments later, he continued to insist on his mis-information, and disregarded our correcting him for the third time. Dr. Dickoff is the lone neurologist for many residents at a highly regarded, well established assisted living facility in Riverdale. He is aware that some of the patients who come from that facility have no other alternative for neurological care. Based on that, it's quite evident that he takes advantage in whatever manner he can. Be it by keeping people who are in physical pain waiting for hours on end to be seen, or communicating to them [and their family or caregiver] with arrogant tones and comments. After I told Dr. Dickoff how I felt about his behavior, quite a few people in the waiting area gave me a thumbs up. His receptionist/assistant who could see how upset I was, after overhearing his nasty response and annoyance to a question I posed to him as we were leaving, told me that his behavior was nothing unusual, and that he was ... shall we say.,.... aptly named. If you want to receive professional and humane medical care, stay away!!!!!!

Dr. Dickoff has a lovely manner with his patients. He is friendly and patient, and knowledgeable about Parkinson's Disease and its treatment. His advice has been useful to my father, who is afflicted with the disease. Unfortunately, the wait time for each visit is the worst I have ever experienced. It is not atypical to wait for 2 hours in his waiting room, but at least he does not rush you once you have his attention.

I read some of these comments and wondered if these comments were about the same MD I have been seeing. He is the only MD who diagnosed and virtually cured me after going to at least 4 MD’s in my state of Florida. The staff is friendly courteous and Professional. I have never waited more than 20 minutes after seeing him numerous times. Truly the best in his profession. Thank you. ?? Marlon Rostek

Dr. David Dickoff knows his stuff when it comes to neurology and spoke knowledgeably about the progression of Parkinson's Disease. However, we had a 3:00 p.m. appointment and never got to see him until 8:00 p.m. UNACCEPTABLE!
