Dr. David Joseph Dimarco, MD

I was a patient of his for over two years. I really liked Dr. Dimarco on the first few visits. I found him to be very caring and thorough. We always had a very nice and respectful rapport, and in all of my visits there were only positive remarks, made about me. However, on my last visit in March, I came in for an emergency appointment after having episodes of brief blindness. After my exam he did not go over the findings and just brushed me off. I later was told by a Neuro eye surgeon that my pressure was high on the visit with Dr dimarco. The reason for my visit was to check my pressure as I have a condition that can put pressure on the optic nerve and cause blindness. Dr dimarco said my pressure was normal. It was not. He put my health and vision in danger. There were other findings in the exam that would have explained a lot of my symptoms. He did not relay these to me either. He also incorrectly detailed a series of events that happened at the Wexford office. I was treated very… aggressively and almost physically assaulted by the front desk manager. I had to file a police report. In an effort for their office to cover their tracks he lied about the series of events and wrote negative remarks about me in my chart. He lied about offering for me to see an ophthalmologist and me refusing (why would I refuse that?) There were several other inaccuracies that were written in my chart by him regarding my visit. This is highly unethical, and the only thing that I can conjured up to is the fact that my insurance switched to Medicare. So not only is it unethical, it’s discriminatory.
