10 yrs ago I had severe sciatica and could hardly walk or sleep for 2 years. Straightening my body was extremely painful. I thought life was over for me. I used a walker for walking and had to sit at my desk most of the time since that was the only painless position, fortunately even including driving. When sitting started to become painful, I had no choice but surgery, which I gave a 50% success rate of temporary relief. My private insurance could do it the traditional way, but I rather pay for a non-invasive approach by Dr. Ditsworth. The surgery was painless and almost comfortable. I was taking a nice nap on the beach. Happy sounds of 4 girls playing volleyball next to me woke me up. It turned out they were the nurses trying to wake me up from the anesthesia by talking and laughing very loud around me. I felt no pain getting up and walking to my car. I could not even find the scars after a couple weeks. The pain returned after 4 days but went away permanently after 6-8… weeks. I have been walking and playing ball ever since and still doing great now at 77. Thank God that I found Dr. Ditsworth and he fixed my spine.

We came to Los Angeles from Canada. I was in a wheelchair for many months, and in a lot of pain. The doctors considered surgery back home, but it was supposed to take up to 2 years of waiting. So, we did research and found this doctor, Dr. Ditsworth in California, and he performed a miracle for us. The day after surgery I was able to walk with very little to no pain. Since the procedure, no more need for a wheelchair.

I had my minimally invasive back surgery with Dr Ditsworth in May of 2004. Prior to surgery I had years of back problems. I went to many different chiropractors, tried acupuncture, had an epidural steroid injection and it finally got to the point where I was on strong pain medicine patches and became totally immobile . I was passing out from the pain. I found out my bulging disk was non-contained that my disc had fragments that broke off and traveling down my spinal nerve causing pain in my sciatic nerve and down my leg to my toes. It had stopped my life. I couldn't take my kids to school because I was on such strong pain medicines. I was told by a local doctor that I could either undergo an open back surgery which could leave me in the same condition or even worse off from scar tissue or just learn how to manage my pain and take physical therapy. That wasn't good enough for me so I started searching for a better way. That is when I discovered Dr. Ditsworth and my life became a whole… lot better! I have to admit I was scared at first because I traveled a great distance to go see him and I was scared because I learned about it online and never really knew anyone that had gone and done such a thing, after all who goes to Beverly Hills for such a common problem? When I got there I almost chickened out but I couldn't stand thinking of the alternative so I opted to go for it - over all it seemed less risky. I had been told if it sounds to good to be true - it probably is. Well my experience with The Back Institute proved this statement all wrong. It was better than good, it was excellent! - from the professional way they handled every task to the personal way they care for their patients. Since then I have told all my friends and family about it and wish everyone with this problem could have the opportunity to experience what I have been so fortunate to have experienced. I would definitely do it again! I thank God for helping me find Dr Ditsworth and his wonderful staff at the back institute. They have made the world a better place!

I am a patient of Dr. Ditsworth. I had back pain for years, but at some point the pain became really intolerable. I tried all possible treatments and came to Dr. Ditsworth because of his non-traumatic approach that he developed and offers to patients with the appropriate medical problems. I was not willing to accept any other technique because really did not want any of my healthy tissue to be removed and cut just in order to get to the place of the problem. Luckily, I was a good candidate for the non-traumatic surgery and within 3 weeks Dr. Ditsworth performed it on me on the L5-S1 level. After surgery I immediately felt relief. I did all the physical therapy that was prescribed to me and I followed all the recommendations of the doctor. The surgery was years ago. I am still pain-free. I am happy that I am pain-free. I called Back Institute many times after my surgery just to express my appreciation. I recommend everybody to go to Back Institute and get really treated well… there instead of going somewhere else and being seriously harmed.

I came to the Back Institute in Beverly Hills because of the problems with my lower back pain, it's been persistent for many years. I had every confidence in the procedure and the surgery went very well. Went to dinner right after the surgery and have felt quite well ever since. Excellent experience.

Dr Ditsworth is an excelent doctor, he was my mother's doctor and he did a great job with her, my mother die, doctor did great. I thank God for people like him.

It has been 6 years after surgery and I am doing great! My children are happy to see me being active, and playing with them.
