Dr. David R Dixson

After waiting 2 hours to be seen, I was escorted and treated rather well by the nurses on staff. After my x-rays, doctor Dixson came in and evaluated my situation. He quickly concluded that ALL of my teeth needed removal. Told me he would write two prescriptions, one for pain and an antibiotic. I asked him if he could make sure it was on the "$4 prescription list" because I couldn't afford much at the moment. He agreed and they sent me to the "financial room" where they went over payment plans and treatment options. After learning I did not qualify for their payment plans, their demeanor changed. Dr. Dixson walks in with one prescription, the antibiotic. I asked him "I thought you were going to write two prescriptions" and his reply was (verbatim) "hahaha we're not even gonna go there, buddy" to which I replied "that was uncalled for". He then said, and I quote: "I didn't want to 'STRESS YOU OUT' any more than you need because you can't afford it". I politely asked if we were done… here, they said yes (without handing me my prescription for antibiotics) and left. This is the most unprofessional dentist I have ever been to; and unless you have deep pockets, you'll be shooed away and told to "call them" when "ready to pay". I was stereotyped and shunned for being a lower-class American. I'll be choosing another dentist.
