David James Draper, MD

Dr. Draper is a man who provides the level of care every cancer patient hopes for. His thorough and understandable discussions with patients puts everyone at ease even in the dire situation of having cancer. He is kind and empathetic. He is skilled and has a deep understanding of the disease he is treating. I could not ask for a better medical oncologist.

I have been a patient of Dr Draper since September 2013 when I had colon cancer. I love Dr Draper he has been the best doctor I have ever had. His concern for me from the beginning is just what I needed at that time. I will always be a patient of his because I can call for different concerns and he is right on top of it. I look forward to seeing him once a year and sometimes I have had to come in sooner because of different concerns. God gave him a gift of hands and knowledge and that helped save my LIFE!!!!!!! He has allowed my grandma to go from stage 1 breast cancer to stage 4 (FOUR!!!) on his watch..... He sees way to many people to “keep the lights on...” Maybe he should hire more Nurse Practitioners to “keep the lights on...” I am so disappointed in him. It is an absolute joke.

Dr Draper is awesome. Unbelievable bedside manner. He is knowledgeable, of ciurse, but so much more. When you have cancer, it is vital that you have confidence in your dr and feel that you can discuss ANY concerns. Draper is that dr. You quickly realize that you are not just a file on his desk. He truly cares.

David Draper is one of the most caring doctors I have ever seen. My first encounter with him was at the VA Hospital. I had just found out I had breast cancer in Sept 2008 and was very scared. He took extra time to explain everything to me in detail. While going through chemo he would call me on Sundays to see how I was feeling and if there was anything he could do to make me feel better. My system did not react well to the chemo and I was pretty sick. He literally had nurses coming to my home to d anything possible to keep me out of the hospital. When he finished his rotation at the VA Hospital and went out into private practice I followed him as he is the one doctor I credit with saving my life. I still have my treatment and tests completed at the VA Hospital as I am a disabled veteran BUT I rely on David Draper to verify I am still cancer free and monitor my care.

We were referred to Dr. Draper after a very scary hospitalization. He has never failed to spend all the time we needed explaining and reassuring us. Though never sugar-coating our situation and the likely outcome, he was kind, direct and always patient with us. He is very knowledgeable and is one of those few doctors who are able to really connect with his patients in a human way--he is especially good at clearly explaining complex issues. Thank you to him and his staff for helping us through an incredibly horrible time in our lives.
