I was referred to Dr. Duhon by a neurologist who said he was more knowledgeable about severe RLS and could also treat my insomnia. I had seen Dr. Duhon four years ago for treatment of sleep apnea but had not been back. When I called for an appointment, they said that I would be a new patient because they didn't keep records that far back. When I got in to see Dr. Duhon, he went and got my file from four years ago. He talked to me like I was stupid and he didn't believe what I was telling him. He prescribed meds that actually made my RLS symptoms worse. In desperation, I called the RLS Foundation and asked them what I should do. They said Dr. Duhon was not a member and that I would have to go to Houston to see a doctor that was qualified. In Houston, they said I had RLS Augmentation and that Dr.Duhon's prescription was making things worse. Turned out that Dr. Duhon didn't know what he was doing even though he acted like he knew it all. If he was serious about his practice, he would… have kept current with new information. Besides all that, he has the most unresponsive staff imaginable.
