First time patient? Let me compliment you on the exemplary decision to be seen at First Med. This clinic embodies an absolutely marvelous plethora of talent and skill. Upon a visit to this clinic, you may find yourself being less than pleasant with the team members because you may not feel well. Hopefully, I won’t be there because I would be compelled to call you out. (I get a tad protective of amazing people.) But if I am not and you choose to be not agreeable to the team members, they will be nice to you anyway – which is pretty darn amazing! Appointment or walk-in? If you are tight on time, make an appointment – the wait time is minimal. When I have been a walk-in, I have been seen quickly and I have had to wait due to the flow of patients. I am a small business owner, parent of two children, wife and volunteer who gets the joy of experiencing migraine headaches. With such a full schedule, knowing that I can be seen in the early evening and weekends is an immense… asset because sometimes daytime appointments are impossible! Final synopsis – they get it! Dr. Dunlap has been my doctor for the past 2 years. He is compassionate and conciderate with knowledgable experience in care of his patients' needs.

I would recommend Dr. David L. Dunlap. He listens well,is willing to take time,is kind and caring and has a great disposition and a ready smile. Last year,I received a diagnosis of early-stage breast cancer. He guided me though to make sure I knew which surgeon to see and answered my questions. There is also the convenience of his office,First Med,a family practice in Lawrence,KS,being open seven days a week and also taking drop-ins. The four physicians and nurse practitioner in this office are well-trained and are all board-certified. I hear from others that Dr. Dunlap is great and very patient working with small children.
