Dr. David Israel Eisenstein, MD

I normally do not write reviews especially negative ones but I felt compelled to do so this time. I wouldn’t give even a one star to Dr. David Eisenstein because of the irreparable harm he made to me. I visited him for hormonal imbalance and he put me on some pills which my skin showed a very bad reaction to. I started to have big brown patches on my cheeks, forehead and even my shoulders. I contacted him after and asked him if it could be because of the pills or the new hair dye that I had used. He never responded to my question or cared enough to tell me to stop taking them. I saw a general practitioner after and was diagnosed with Melasma which is a treatable but not curable skin problem. If you google Melasma you can see lots of images and honestly I haven’t found anyone having worse condition than mine. Not only was my original problem (hormonal imbalance) not resolved, but I also now have to deal with another problem that may take a long time and money to be treated (if ever). I… found David Eisenstein very inconsiderate and unprofessional in his practice and I cannot wish enough that I had never visited him.

Excellent doctor with training in minimally invasive procedures.

I read some reviews online and almost cancelled my appointment. I thank God every day that I didn't. Dr. Eisenstein spent almost an hour with me during my first appointment with him, answering all of my questions, and getting to know me as a patient. (After 7 years of ttc with specialists of all kinds, finding a doctor who listened to me, and what I was going through was refreshing and validating.) When my MRI showed that my condition was more serious than first believed, he called me personally and had another 45 minute conversation with me. When I thanked him, he told me that we were a team, and that I had to be 100% onboard before he took me into the operating room. He didn't take the easy way out with surgery options for me, and did everything he could to help me get my quality of life back, while maintaining my fertility. He was thorough with every explanation, and made sure to show me pictures with the explanations. He never rushed me during our appointments, never made me… feel like I couldn't ask questions, and I asked A LOT. He was wonderful with my family after surgery, making sure that they also understood everything that was going on and what he had done during the surgery. My recovery has been great and I look forward to having my quality of life back! You owe it to yourself to meet with him before agreeing to any gynecological surgery!

I have stage 4 endometriosis. He took amazing care of me with my surgery! Even when he was on vacation he checked on me... when I had to have my gallbladder out a couple months later, he went into that surgery just to make sure everything was healing nicely. I will never go to anyone else!

Very unattainable, disregards patient needs...

Very human/personable and knowledgeable. I was quite impressed.

He runs a very relaxed appointment, usually sitting with you at the table in the examination room and just talking with you first about what's going on and what you need. It's a very comforting way to start a gynecology appointment!! He's also incredibly open and willing to answer all your questions, and doesn't at all act like "He's the doctor, this is the final answer". He discusses all prescriptions with you to whatever extent you want, which is just so great! Conclusion: HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
