After having a spinal cord injury and going through surgery I was unable to move my legs. Dr. Ewing came in and told me to wiggle my toes and I tried as hard as I could but I could not move them and he told my husband that I was faking it!! Horrible bedside manner!! I told them I did not ever want him in my room again! Horrible excuse for a doctor!

After a certain amount of time and testing, not knowing what to do, he literally shrugged his shoulders and raised his hands in the air “idk what else to do “

I attended the first appointment that my mother had with Dr. Ewing and recall him being a little direct. He felt that my mother was being over medicated, and he began a plan to significantly reduce the number of medications she had been prescribed. It was the correct plan of action.

He was very arrogant and told us we could find another dr after we asked questions about medication. His bedside manner is atrocious and I wouldn’t recommend him. It’s sad that he’s all St. Joseph has to offer because he’s giving neurology a bad name.

After seeing him for several years and having no significant improvement, I asked Dr. Ewing if he would consider reducing the number of medications I was prescribed. Instead, he insisted I be hospitalized and given more medication. When I told him I would seek a second opinion, he "fired" me and refused to complete the FMLA paperwork (he was the one who put me on medical leave)!! As a result, the paperwork was late, and I lost the job I'd had for over 20 years! Still struggling with the medical condition but now I have a doc who listens to my concerns!

We received excellent care for our son with special needs. He was positively great with him. Previous experiences with another neurologist in Springfield Mo was not as good.

We went in with my brother in law. Dr. Ewing was very friendly and through on explaining his condition. He showed concern and got him started on a treatment plan immediately.

Was unable to resolve my neurological issues. Began to make me out to be a psychiatric patient at the expense of his incompetence. Very arrogant man....if he were half as good as he thinks he is, he would be amazing. Unimpressed.
