Facilities and Equipment
We at Federici Dental believe in offering the latest in state of the art techniologies and equipment to make your dental visit the most pleasant one possible. We use Waterlase drill less lasers for many of our procedures. The laser allows us to prepare tooth structure with virtually no anesthetic. If anesthetic (Novocaine) is needed, we have incorporated the STA (Single Tooth Anesthesia) system which allows us to only numb the tooth we are working on. Using this painless anesthesia delivery system, we control the numbing only to the tooth thereby allowing you to leave without the usual "droopy lip". We have incorporated the latest in X-ray taking systems by using Digital X-ray. This system uses the lowest available amount of radiation to take a X-ray of your tooth and instantly shows up on the monitor in front of you. This way you receive the lowest amount of radiation possible, but at the same time are able to join in the diagnosis by having your films shown on a monitor right in front of you. You know what they say about a picture being worth a thousand words. We believe in the patient being involved and co-diagnosing with us. We also use Intra-oral cameras to show you your tooth problems or gum problems, again on a monitor right in front of you. There is no better way for a patient to gain an understanding of a problem that is going on in their mouth than for it to be on large monitor right in front of them. For our snorers, we use 2 different appliances that when worn at night while sleeping, position the jaw to open the airway which allows for a snore-free nights sleep. We have many patients tell us that they feel much more refreshed and get a much better nights sleep since no one is tapping/elbowing them to turn over. And likewise, the spouses are just as happy as they get a restful night's sleep as well.
