Dr. David Max Fellars

Bad dentist!! He will charge your insurance for things he have not done! Beware!! And he will lie about it!! Don trust him he's fraud.

I went to Dr. Fellars only because my (limited) insurance dictated/allowed it. It was my 2nd visit to Fellars and my last. To begin with, Fellars visited with me BEFORE my cleaning instead of after. All dentist visits in my past 52 years have been after the cleaning so the dentist can review what was done and answer any questions. Fellars also noticed I had some receding gums, but never gave me options for any procedures or for the sensitivity. Then the dental assistant came in. Wow - she was either severely under-trained or just didn't care (or both), but to say her work was lacking is a massive understatement. First came the polishing, but she only did the outside of my teeth and even then, failed to polish the entire surface/each tooth. Total time: 5 minutes. She then flossed my teeth (I can do that). Total time: 2 minutes. The best is last. With the pick, she touched my 3 front teeth for a total of 30 seconds and was done. No scraping, no plaque removal. No fluoride rinse, no… discussion of tooth whatsoever. What normally takes 20-30 minutes took this 'professional' only 8. My teeth were not cleaned and Fellars never reappeared. Unprofessional. Uncaring. Lazy and inexcusable.

I was seen for an exam by one of the dentists in his practice. I came here because they took my insurance and was close to home. I am a dental assistant and I already knew what my treatment plan should be, but since we don't take my insurance at my work, I went to fellar's office. I didn't tell the staff that I was a dental assistant because I wanted to see if I could trust their diagnosis. Well I was disappointed to see how the dr missed some cavities I knew I had and then told me I needed deep cleanings a three month recalls for cleanings. I found the dr to be incompetent and I will not be going to this practice anymore.
