I had hernia pain for years before finally my urologist told me I needed to see a surgeon. Dr Fermelia was recommended as he had done surgery on my aunt many years ago. He is very conservative and did not pressure me to get the surgery. I have other issues, bulging disc in my back. He said he couldn’t guarantee the triple hernia surgery would remedy all of my pains. It was outpatient surgery, I was off painkillers in three days, taking my dog to the park in 10 days. It has been 18 months now and I have had zero complications, I work out, do yoga, hike many times a week. Excellent doctor and Cedar Sinai is the best, everyone went above and beyond to make it as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

11 days ago Dr, David Fermelia of the Cedars Sinai Medical Group did a Laproscopic bilateral abdominal Hernia operation on me. I had done a lot of research to find the best surgeon in my area for this procedure and Dr Fermelia was on the top of the list. I hereby confirm that Dr. David Fermelia is truly an expert. He is an excellent surgeon and a good, honest and caring person with a wonderful staff. The staff at the Cedars Sinai outpatient surgery center were delightful. I am very happy with the results of my procedure and offer a STANDING OVATION to Dr David Fermelia and ALL medical staff.

I had a bi-lateral hernia surgery with him 4 weeks ago ... I was off painkillers after 5 days, back to normal household activities after a week and was feeling like a champ after two weeks. now after 4 weeks I can't imagine anything I can't do ... and have no pain at all.
