Dr. David Ira Fierstein, MD

This is a real family practice. The Father just retired and I was Dr. Joe's patient for 15 years. I loved Dr. Joe. He was humorous, caring and from the old school which I love!! I just was switched to Dr, David. He is a witch! Arrogant, nasty and definitely lacks "people skills". His office who is affiliated with NRAAD misbilled me and I told one of the receptionists that the follow up in this office is lacking. Well let me tell you , I received an irate call from Dr. David demanding why and how I could say that in a very condescending and arrogant way. His mother Gene is a saint and she answered my questions regarding my erroneous bill and that I would not have to worry about it due to an error that was made by BlueCross saying that this practice is not longer part of the plan. Dr. David was not even concerned about my billing mistake but repeatedly harassed me on the phone to demand why I think that there isn't good follow up in his office. I responded that no one calls you… with your test results to inform the patient, me, what the outcome is. Dr. David responded by verbally belittling me that "we never call the patients back!!" You have to call us!! This was said in a very aggressive loud nasty tone. This is not a Doctor that is becoming of the white coat. There are other things however I am not going to continue with the Fierstein practice since his father , a gem!! retired.. This apple fell very far from the tree if even from the Fierstein Tree

Dr. David is pushy, impersonal and at times just plain mean. For example, Dr. David had me go into the urinal to get a sample for a urinalysis. When I returned to the examination room, he had already brought in another patient. Mind you, I was yet to finish the physical. I was perplexed at the sheer disrespect. I will not return. There are much better and personable doctors on Long Island.
