Dr. David Christopher Fiore, MD

This doctor wrote me a prescription for an anti-depressant, which at the time I needed, but was very reluctant to take. I let the prescription sit for several months before I finally decided to fill it--a hard decision for me. The pharmacy said I had to call Dr. Fiore to have him write a new one because I hadn't filled it right away when he first wrote it. I phoned his office, and when he called me back he was very curt and arrogant and told me I should just find another doctor. I was devastated. All he had to do was rewrite a prescription? He's so bizarre and cruel. Avoid him. (Even my new doctor found his behavior very strange!)

This dr has terrible bed side manner. He made strange comments to me that made me uncomfortable and at the end of my visit he said “ so did you come here for a diagnosis or what today”? He chomped on his gum and had an arrogance about him.. no thank you. I? switched to another doctor in that same office and they are fantastic.

I hate to use these words but this man is both arrogant and sexist. Beware if you are a woman coming to him for a diagnosis. If you ask good questions he is abrupt and dismissive,; he is a member of the old school "Doctor is God." My husband used to go to him and he treated my husband in a much more humane way, however, he has misdiagnosed him twice, and ordered a medication and an expensive and burdensome test that our "second opinion" physician said was truly unnecessary. Neither of us go to him any longer. He doesn't just have a "D" as medical school personnel and physician, he has an "F" in our books.

This "Doctor" is an egotistical idiot, when he could not heal my MRSA infection, incorrectly diagnosing my symptoms and under prescribing the antibiotics (making the MRSA resistant to three types of antibiotics) he refuses to give me a referral to a infectious disease MD. He even said my insurance had changed after I got a appointment with him and refused to see me, when I checked the insurance said there has been no change and they have had numerous complaints about his practice. Save yourself never go here!

His arrogance might astound you. I would NEVER go back to him.

Dr Fiore is an excellent physician once you get into see him. However the recent cuts in the University Health Systems has meant you have to drive to the office to make an appointment because the administrative staff has been laid off to 2 people from 7. Phone calls to the nurse was not answered for 2 weeks, phone messages cannot be left as phone calls get automatically transferred to campus operator during business hours. Its too bad but the Dept. of Family Medicine should be closed until better care can be provided especially for emergencies.

Very unhappy with his lack of diagnostic abilitis. He is more worried about what people think of him, than actually diagnosing the problem. When the standard tests came back negative he just kept pushing that it is a mental issue, however, it is over two months later and several doctors later, all of whom have agreed on the actual diagnosis, from continued testing, and the illness is FINALLY being treated. If Dr. Fiore had admitted he didn't know what the issue was & referred to other specialists, gee, like Stanford Hospital...it would have saved MONTHS of pain and greif!

I have been seeing Dr. David Fiore for more than five years and am extremely pleased with his professionalism and talent.
