Dr. David Fleming
Dr. David Fleming grew up in Akron, Ohio and attended Case Western Reserve University, where he received his bachelor's degree in psychology and his doctorate degree in dentistry. While still in dental school, Dr. Fleming was awarded a United States Army Health Professions Scholarship and was selected into the Army's one year advanced education in general dentistry residency program at Fort Carson, Colorado. This allowed him the opportunity to not only build upon his training in dentistry, but to serve Fort Carson soldiers as a general dentist for five years. His service at Ft. Carson (and temporarily in Kuwait) was greatly rewarded as the Army Dental Corps selected him to receive specialty training in orthodontics. This entailed an additional two years of education at the University of Louisville, where he earned a Masters of Science degree simultaneously with his orthodontic specialty training. These new skills were immediately put to use by the Army …as Dr. Fleming was given the responsibility of opening a brand new orthodontic practice in Camp Zama, Japan for soldiers and their family members stationed overseas. After serving three years in Japan, and a total of ten years as an Army Dental Corps officer, Dr. Fleming and his family returned home to Northeast Ohio. 
Dr. Fleming prioritizes time each year to attend numerous continuing education courses to stay current on the advances in orthodontics. He and his team do not take lightly their responsibility to provide the best possible care for the patients who have entrusted their smiles to Fleming Orthodontics. Dr. Fleming is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Great Lakes Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and numerous other organizations. He serves as the orthodontic specialty advisor in a local chapter of a nationally-acclaimed dental study club in addition to his participation in a study club comprised of several orthodontist colleagues in Northeast Ohio.   
Dr. Fleming and his wife Debra have three children- Brandon, Daniel and Nicole. They enjoy camping, mountain biking and skiing.
