Dr. David Richard Gambling, MD

I became a physician because I was motivated by a desire to contribute to the well being of my community and to offer safe health care to my patients. My goal is to provide evidence-based anesthetic care and to listen to each person's concerns about the anesthetic or analgesic approach. I am very happy to contribute to The Sharp Experience by providing excellent patient care based on more than 30 years of clinical and academic experience in the field. I aim to provide the best anesthetic plan to suit each patient, the best conditions for the surgeon and a smooth postoperative recovery. My family is important to me and together we lead active lives that include hiking, spending time at the beach and skiing in the winter. We enjoy traveling to faraway places and supporting the arts in San Diego. I also enjoy teaching and clinical research as a voluntary clinical professor of anesthesiology at UCSD.
