He then served as a consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General for Neurosurgery and chaired the combined departments of neurosurgery for Brooke Army Medical Center and Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center.Dr. Garrett is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and its South Texas chapter, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons. He is proud to have helped found the neurosurgery residency at Texas …A&M Medical University at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas.Outside of work, Dr. Garrett enjoys foreign languages (he's trilingual in English, Spanish and German), carpentry and home remodeling.
