I love Dr. Gelber and his staff. They treat the whole patient and not just the disease!

Excellent physician. Very educated, knowledgeable, prompt, kind and considerate. Recommend him highly. Trust him completely.

I’ve been going to Dr Gelber for 12 years now I had an MRI my first year I had to request an MRI after nine years I haven’t been the most pleased with Dr Gelber. He needs to spend more time with his patients and really listen to what’s going on with their symptoms. I have timed my visits over the years and he never spends more than 3 to 4 minutes with me. I spend more time with the intern, or the nurse, which I don’t understand in the coming future I will be looking for another neurologist.

In my opinion, I did not feel he was the right doctor for me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gelber’s since 2002 or so. I have always found him to answer all questions well and truly cares about his patients. I would highly recommend him as a great choice for a neurologist in Springfield.

Dr. Gelber maybe on MS but he does not treat it. My mom has MS and I have done a ton of research and talked to doctors all over the US. MRI's are recommended at least yearly, my mom has not had one in 5 years!! How do you monitor a disease of the brain without looking at it? I wanted to talk about switching drugs because my mom had progressed but he said she was doing fine. Needless to say we went to another MS specialist who switched her medicine and she is doing much much better!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Gelber's sense 1997 and am very happy with my treatment. I only got upset with the staff one time, I drove over 50 miles to see my doctor and I was 10 minutes late and by the time they waited on me it was 15 minutes late a I got sent back home without my checkup, and with MG you need to see your doctor. As far as him he is a wonderful doctor.

Have been going to Dr. Gelber for 6 years. While he always has time for questions, his scheduling is spot on. Often times he comes out five minutes early to lead us into the examination room. He is very knowledgeable of MS and has a lot of additional resources for his patients.

I'm moving back to Illinois (from NC) because I've not found a neurologist here that compares to Dr. Gelber!
