Dr. David Aubrey Gooray, MD

I AM VERY DISTURBED AT THIS MOMENT!! I am fed up with the incompetence of Dr Gooray's office staff. For a Dr of his caliber I would expect his office staff to be more on point then they are. What that means is ANSWER his phones w/GOOD office etiquette, keep those raunchy attitudes to themselves, take good messages and make certain that the Dr GETS his msgs. I call and IF the phone is answered I get hung up on sometimes w/o even greeting the caller (pick up and hang ups), I get sarcastic responses, told lies about the operation of their phones). I hear loads of excuses as to WHY these things are happening which NONE make sense to me having run plenty of offices myself. I can't even get a GOOD OPERATING phone # from Directory Asst. (They are NOT taking time to update his information) I JUST called, asked the person that answered for her name she refused to id herself then hung up on me AND took the phone OFF THE HOOK. The line has remained busy every since, so far for the last 45… minutes. I JUST got thru and was given the very same EXCUSE that there's something wrong w/the phone system. Well, why is it going on so long, for a cpl yrs now, UNBELIEVABLE & UNACCEPTABLE. If you google Dr Gooray he is listed w/his current address BUT old office phone #. That's a big help. Call his DC office and pretty much get the same thing (treatment that is). Perhaps these folks are too comfortable in their jobs. Perhaps they THINK that it's ok to run HIS business in such a poor manner because they won't be held accountable. It is my plan to see that he is made aware of the incompetence of his staff. I realize he's sooo busy doing what he does best that this is a mediocre.

Excellent MD well worth waiting for

My first visit was great and his staff helped me get to there Largo location and stayed on the phone with me till I got there, I couldn't thank them enough.I,ll be back there for my second visit this week.

Dr. David A. Gooray is an excellent doctor. He was very, very thorough, took extensive tests and explained everything to me every step of the way so that I could understand what was going on. I did not have long waits. I received follow-up calls from his Assistants. Each appointment, Dr. Gooray gave me his undivided attention. I was able to ask questions without feeling rushed to leave the office. Excellent doctor. My primary doctor referred me and said that he is the cardiologist that all the doctors go to. I recommended him to friends and family. Great doctor !!!

Got appt, however had to wait almost 4 hours. Reluctant to fax meds in,had to ask several times. MEDCO said 1 much needed med was processed wrong, MEDCO tried many times to reach office to correct problem. No help. I called staff gave me a fake name and was not helpful. Looking for new doctor to get meds from.

This doc has a hard to beat knowledge of pharmacology! His knowledge of cardiology is top-notch; he is Chief of Cardiology at Prince George's. He is available during crisis, and personally visits each pt w. a caring & listening attitude. He has saved my life through a few critical cardiac events, and I am forever grateful. I believe he is also the Richard Gere of Cardiology. I refuse to see any other Cardiologist since they simply do not even compare to his skill (in the cath lab and out). Wonderful doctor, no better!
