My 86 year old grandfather saw Dr. Gossat for liver troubles as he was retaining a bunch of fluid. After nearly two weeks of waiting for a visit and being told Dr. G was one of the best GI docs around, we finally got in for an appointment and were eager to get some answer so we could put a game plan together. I was legitimately appalled by how this man treated my grandpa, who is quite literally one of the sweetest men on the planet. He was rude, arrogant, abrasive, and argumentative with us while delivering some tough news. I really don't think he should be allowed to interface with patients. My grandpa is hard of hearing; I don't think he quite understood any of the information Dr. Gossat was barking at him, and Dr. Gossat honestly didn't seem to care. My sister and I were calmly asking for advice and direction to ease my grandfather's symptoms. He told us he couldn't do anything to help and rushed out of the room as we were still speaking to him. We left in tears and with little to… go on other than that we needed to find a general practitioner in town. I understand the medical profession is stressful, but it seems to me this man doesn't really want to be helping people and I don't think he should be allowed to treat patients this way. I would strongly recommend making the drive to Omaha and not wasting your time or energy.

saw him about 5 months before my last apt, he said I needed another colonoscopy to rule 0ut microscopic colitis, decided to go ahead and have it done by the Dr who had done 2 others for me. he did 13 biopsies and when I took the results to him he refused to treat me, saying "if I'm not good enough to do your colonoscopy I'm not good enough to treat you" I tried to tell him it was a matter of going 4 blocks to have it done or driving 40+ miles. I also told him he didn't say he was the only one in the state that could do it. Very rude.

This is a horrible doctor, he makes his nurses tell you he is either on vacation or out of the country. He will order expensive tests then never get back to you. Very unprofessional and he puts everything on his 1 nurse. Check around before going to this office. All his reviews are very poor.

Dr Gossat literally saved my life as I had a bleeding ulcer that several doctors couldn’t find. He kept looking and found it. He was able to clamp it during and emergency procedure.

One words Quack Very rude, ordered expensive and unnecessary test. Doesn't even read his own notes from piror visit as he contradicts himself. Poor follow up. Doesn't call with test results. If you make anappointment for test he will tell you something very different from what he had recorded on test document Nurse is lazy and rude. My advice is RUN and find an other GI Dr.

Excellence as a doctor. Poor bedside manner. Very intimidating. Not People oriented. Still have not received a follow up after colonoscopy.
