Dr. David F. Halpern has been practicing in Columbia since 1982. He received his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Franklin and Marshall College in 1972 and earned a Master’s Degree (M.S.) from Rutgers Graduate School in 1974. He received his DMD from Farleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry in 1978 and completed a general practice residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.
Dr. Halpern has devoted significant time in his career as a volunteer leader in the second largest dental organization in the world entitled the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Rooted in its commitment of continuing education of general dentists, the AGD is dedicated to providing the best dental care to the public it serves. Dr. Halpern was the 2009-2010 AGD President. He earned Fellowship in the AGD in 1985 which involved participating in over 500 hours of continuing educational activities. He is currently pursuing his Mastership which involves an additional 600 hours of …education including 400 hours of participatory educational experience. He also is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and has been a long-time member of the American Dental Association (ADA).
