Dr. David Hanson, originally from Saginaw, is a 1979 graduate of Saginaw Valley State University. Before beginning his post-graduate studies, Dr. Hanson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, cementing his base in understanding oral and overall health. He completed his dental education at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1983. For seven years, Dr. Hanson was a part-time clinical supervising dentist for the Dental Hygiene Program at Delta College. After practicing in Maine, Wyoming and Chesaning, Michigan, he decided to settle in the Houghton Lake area in 2001.
His wife Christine works at Roscommon Elementary School. His daughter Stephanie and her husband Aaron reside in Virginia with their two children Andrew 14 and Ayden 10 months. He also has two step-sons, David and Jason, and granddaughter Baylee, age 4.
Dr. Hanson has always been very active in his community. He attends church at Messiah Lutheran Church in Roscommon. He enjoys spending time …with his wife and three golden retrievers.  In his leisure time he loves traveling, a good book and model railroading.
