Dr. Fisch and Dr. Heaton graduated from Georgetown University Dental School in 1984. After graduation, they spent 5 years in the US Navy stationed at Great Lakes Naval Training Center north of Chicago and then Pearl Harbor Naval Base in Hawaii. During their years in the military, Dr. Fisch and Dr. Heaton gained considerable experience in all aspects of general dentistry.
In 1989, Dr. Fisch and Dr. Heaton settled in Rutland, Vermont, and joined the dental practice of Dr. Ronald Heaton, David's father. Over the next 10 years, the senior Dr. Heaton slowly phased out of practicing dentistry and retired completely in 1999.
Dr. Fisch and Dr. Heaton practice together and continue to treat the many patients that began with the original practice in the early 1960s and the generations that have followed.
