Dr Hefner was my son's Pediatrician for 7 yrs. My son had multiple handicapped and was a very complicated pt due to an injury. Dr Hefner was one of the few docotrs that had the courage to take on his case. His knowledge and management of my sons care and his dedication and caring greatly prolonged my sons life and gave us precious years with my son that we may not have had with another doctor.

It's not often that your kids get excited to go to the doctor, but all three of my kids love him! Not only is he great with kids, but he listens to our concerns and always errs on the side of caution. His staff is amazingly sweet and understanding, and they never make you feel silly when calling in with medical questions. I rarely ever wait more than 10 minutes during a visit, yet he does not rush through appointments. If you have questions, he will answer them. He makes kids feel comfortable, and parents feel confident that their children are getting the best care possible. And he's not proud. He will refer you to a specialist if need be, unlike some doctors who think they have all the answers. All in all, he is a great pediatrician with a an even greater staff. Highly recommended!!!

My son has autism and Dr. hefner has offended us more than once with the way he approaches our son. Also, he is a little arrogant and makes us feel he know more about our children than we do. Oh, and he rushes and doesn't really listen to our concerns. Looking for a new doctor.
