Dr. David Reeves Henly, MD

I was referred to this doctor for a possible irritated bladder. Unnecessary tests, wrong diagnosis, and was prescribed a medication with no informed consent. The drug is directly linked to development of alzheimers. His clinical notes are falsified to cover his tracks. All I learned was I dont have kidney cancer, but there was no reason to even suspect I did. Not going back.

Office visits have been good and informative. My subsequent surgery went well and recovery was good. I felt I was in good hands before during and after. Thank you!

I saw this doctor due to blood tests indicating possible kidney problems. I have had stress incontinence for years. I doubt he reviewed blood tests and didnt order any more. I had to have a second appointment for the scope of bladder, which took maybe 2 minutes. Then he told me I dont have cancer, and diagnosed me with urgency incontinence. He prescribed a drug without telling me of any side effects. Thankfully I looked it up before getting it from the pharmacy. Possible side effects are depression of CNS, inability to pee, and its linked to development of alzheimers! Why would i agree to take it as his notes indicate? Not going back. I still dont know if my kidneys are okay.

This was my first visit with him as I did see a different Urologist prior but was looking for someone closer to home, horrible idea!! Went in for a general question on my medication and what the process was if I wanted to stop taking it. He chatted with me for 15 min and had the nurse come in and do a scan of my bladder. Mind you 40 min had passed by before they did this scan and I drank a entire 16oz glass before I got to my appointment so I was able to give a urine sample. Of course the scan came back saying my bladder was not empty. I tried explaining to him how much I drank right before my appointment. He wouldn’t listen to a word I said. Instead he wanted to remove me from the medication immediately! I said I wasn’t ready to go off of it yet as I have a busy fall and I’m a little nervous the symptoms will return. He was yelling and when I say yelling I’m pretty sure they could hear him outside the door! He was trying to tell me the medication is doing harm to my bladder… because when I’m not emptying my bladder completely when I go. Again I tried to explain why, as I was already sitting there for 40 min before they did the bladder scan. He got very upset and said “I don’t know how much more I can explain this to you” he’s yelling!!! I didn’t even know what to say at this point he wouldn’t listen to anything I had to say! Then he had the nerve to say you have Anxiety! I said no I don’t!! As he’s yelling he said yes you do! Have you ever been tested?! I said no, I do not have Anxiety! Again I tried to explain the situation and he got up said he was going to write something up and he never came back he had the nurse come back in and talk to me. So a day later I go back to see a nurse to do the scan over because I knew he was wrong and guess what the scan came back good. My bladder was empty after going pee! Dr. Henley is a horrible doctor! No bedside manners at all!!!! And to accuse a patient of having a medical condition that I don’t have and he is not qualified to diagnose is very unprofessional!!!!

Was referred to Dr. Henly by a friend who helped him with his low testosterone condition. 1st visit I explained to Dr. Henly I didn’t have insurance but have no problem paying just make his diagnosis simple as possible. He proceeded to schedule 4 blood test because he jump the gun on his diagnosis. Charged me 300$ for a 10 min visit and all he told me to do was to take a blood test and we would proceed from there. 5 visits later I was finally going to get his diagnosis and appointment was canceled! So many Dr. out there that won’t drag your time out just so he can run you or your insurances money up. I highly do not recommend this Dr, beware!

I've been to him twice for different kidney stones. Each time he wouldn't do a removal of a stuck stone. He wanted to wait and see even though I was urinating blood and had been in the ER due to pain issues. He wanted to wait and time until into May to help he, until then, just keep coming back in to clinic for more xrays weekly too keep an eye on things. Another urologist took the stone out the next day from my appointment with him and I'm on the mend.

Had the initial visit with him and his nurse in Hudson for a vasectomy. He said the surgery is done with scalpel, cutting, cauterizing and tying a knot. The nurse informed me that if I did not shave she would bring into the hall and shave my privates in front of all the nurses. At the time of surgery he gave a couple shots of numbing agent to the area and immediately went to work cutting. I could feel every cut, tug and pinch. I told him 1/2 way on the one side and he gave more numbing agent to the area. It seemed a little better but was fairly painful until that point. The other side seemed to go without pain and that is what I expected. If I had to do this surgery over Knowing what I know now I would have found someone else who has a better nurse who doesn’t threaten you. I also heard someplaces do scalpel free surgery.

Refuses pain medication request for a patient with a kidney stone and right sided urethral stent in place. He told me I don't need it.
