Dr. David Anthony Holden, MD

Dr. Holden has seen my Dad twice recently. Dad is over 90 years old. Dr. Holden is a talented, patient and tolerant clinician with a sense of humor who knows his stuff, and not just about lungs and circulation either. STRONG recommendation if you need a pulmonologist in Howard County or nearby Maryland counties.

Office is organized, kind staff, Dr. Holden explains everything and is very thorough. Takes his time.

He turned the tide having the gifted inner strength to shield me from the stresses that were making me sick and supporting my strengths. Unlike any doctor was able to do. From having a life of being very sick constantly, I slowly learned and started to actually live. -God knows- how very grateful and thankful I was to come across such a rare and gifted individual as him. Ever grateful.

I had to wait for over a month for an early appointment regarding possible lung cancer spot. I couldn't remember the appointment time, 8:30 or 9:30 AM. I was ready to go at 7:30. I called their office every 5 minutes or less after finding out they don't open until 8;00 AM and don't share their appointment calendar with the answering service. After calling every 5 minutes, they finally answered the phone at 8:30. The staff response: Your appointment was at 8:30. Even though you can get here in 25 minutes or less, he won't see you. I don't recommend seeing this Doctor unless you anticipate an abnormal procedure. What this means if you do your homework, he will probably follow normal protocol. You are not going for major surgery, just a consult. I can not comment on the quality of medical care, only the quality of his staff to support him.

Dr. Holden's genuine concern for his patients is unmatched. His knowledge and bedside manner make even the most frustrated patient realize they've finally found someone with an answer to wellness. I am beyond grateful to have him as a doctor.

I was Dr. Holden's patient at Cleveland Clinic for a number of years and he is a very caring doctor and is very knowledgeable in his specialty. We were very sad when we learned he was leaving CCF and we are all still crying because he left us and we are all hoping that some day (soon) he will be back taking care of us. But, we do wish him all good things in his work at his present hospital. Stay well and we all still miss you.

Dr David Holden has been my mother's Pulmonary doctor for the last 9 months. He was introduced to my mother's case at Howard County General Hospital. His compassion and knowledge quickly led my mother to switch doctors and use Dr Holden as her primary pulmonary DR. He provides medical guidance not only to my mother, but helps me and my siblings with how best to care for our mother. OUTSTANDING DR. Would highly recommend!

Very honest of your problem. When leaving his office, wether the news was good or bad you felt good.Things would work out.

Never in my life have I met such a compassionate, thorough and knowledgeable doctor, with super bedside manners as Dr. David Holden. He is approachable, easy to talk to, spends enough time with you to understand your medical history and explain your diagnosis to you. He has excellent interpersonal skills and bedside manners. He was part of a team which saved my life! He is very caring & so very knowledgeable. I can only imagine where I would be if he had not been there. Not sure how that assignment works coming through the ER admitting process & JH HoCo General Hospital, but I was very fortunate for sure. Follow-up since then was encouraging. You can tell he cares, he is so kind and really wants you, the patient, to understand whats going on and for you to feel at ease.
