"I believe in the innate ability of everyone to achieve their dreams. As an individual who grew up with a physical disability, I learned that the greatest limitations we have are the ones we place on ourselves. One of the reasons I pursued a master’s degree in social work and ultimately a doctorate in family therapy was because I wanted to assist others in realizing their ability to live a fulfilling life. As a person with a disability, I understand the challenges that others with disabilities may encounter and the impact of disabling conditions on the family system. I believe that this insight helps guide me in my focus on working with parents and families to deal with their emotions and to realize their full potential. In conducting individual, couples, and family therapy, I create a supportive and confidential atmosphere wherein I may help individuals deal with change and improve their communication and problem-solving skills.
