Dr. David Ray Hubbs, MD

This Dr is wonderful. He is very to the point and very direct. Does not beat around the bush. He does what he says and means what he tells you. Every visit is quick but thorough!

This doctor unfortunately delivered my first child. After an hour of pushing with the assistance of a nurse, the baby crowned and that is when he came in. He sat down, grabbed some scissors and made a cut, then took the forceps & drug my baby out. I had no idea what was going on & no one told me anything. My newborn baby girl had a bruise right above her right eye where he used the forceps. I spent the next year suffering through some of the most embarrassing issues, but had no idea why, as no one at the hospital told me that I had suffered a fourth degree tear because of his intervention. For those who don’t know, that means that you tear all the way through the rectum. I’ve had an ultrasound done of the area & the rectal muscles were not repaired properly. The anal sphincter should be a circle, not horseshoe shaped, as mine is. I also have prolapse that causes things in that area to be on the outside of my body instead of inside where they belong. Once damage or trauma like this is… done to this part of the body, it’s almost impossible to fix. This MAN did this to me because he didn’t want to wait for a first time mother to have her baby. He didn’t speak to me during any of this and never told me what he had done. I was sent home with stool softeners and that’s it. I thought at the time that this was just what women went through, so I didn’t tell anyone, but definitely never planned on having anymore children. After seeing a female obgyn, she told me that this wasn’t normal, so I requested my medical records and that is when I found out what he did. This is just something that I’ve had to live with and have been told that of course it will just get worse with age. Because of him, I flat out refuse to be seen my a male doctor for my female issues. It has affected every part of my life, from my diet, to my sex life, to places I can go, or should go, to my daily ritual of constantly cleaning and checking. It’s absolutely traumatizing for a woman, to say the least. Just stay away from this “doctor”!!!!

Love this doctor! So caring and genuinely concerned for his patients health.

Dr. Hubbs was very condescending on every visit. He does not give rationales for his opinions and is not able to back up assertions with scientific evidence. He does not give the impression of being "in your court". He is very "paternal" in that he'll make the decisions and don't question them. I will not be returning to his office and will be driving all the way up to Jackson instead.
