Dr. David Francis Huerter, MD

Dr. David Huerter specializes in internal medicine, bringing more than five decades of medical expertise to his practice. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his residency at DC General Hospital. With 54 years of dedicated service in healthcare, Dr. Huerter has developed extensive experience in caring for adult patients with complex medical conditions. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Huerter practices at the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas in Pittsburg and maintains an affiliation with Mercy Hospital Pittsburg. His clinical focus includes managing Type 2 diabetes in both adults and younger patients. He also treats patients with chronic lung disease and provides comprehensive internal medicine care.
