Dr. David Michael Hufnagel, DO

Dr, Hufnagel has been my Hematologist for several years now. The former clinic I was with went through about 9 of these physicians so I have quite a bit to compare him with. My disease can affect many organs, including the liver. All other doctors relied on the blood work alone, which for me is borderline cirrohosis. Dr. Hufnagel has been the only one who ordered an MRI and now ultrasounds to continually monitor my liver condition. He is also friendly and an easy person to converse with. One of my favorite doctors.

First visit, refered to him for a DVT/PE follow up: Waited about 10 minutes after showing up 15 min early. Excellent staff! Friendly and well informed.. He was 5 min late and appologized for getting held up and being late for a late afternoon appointment. I didn’t even realize he was ”late”. Was interested in my rundown of what and how my situation transpired. Good listener and seemed, was, interested in the facts. Very to the point, in a nice way, told it like it was and very confident as to what I needed to do. Never seemed rushed, took a genuine interest in me as a patient, and answered all the questions I had written down to ask him. One could not ask for a better overall experience. I actually enjoyed the time spent with him. Very, relaxed, down to earth and a very plesant and professional individual!

I WAS TREATED AT BAMC BY DR HUFNAGEL, HIS AWESOME NURSE TERRAZZINO AND STAFF. I CAME FROM FLORIDA SCARED TO DEATH SEEKING THE BEST CARE AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I RECEIVED. THE MOST ATTENTIVE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND CONSISTENT, FOCUSED DR. I HAVE EVER KNOWN..(SECOND BEST AT BAMC WAS MY ENDOCRINOLOGIST DR JACK LEWI) UNFORGETABLE HOW KIND AND UNDERSTANDING HE WAS AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO EASE ANXIETY. HE EVEN CALLED AND CHECKED ON ME! I AM CANCER FREE NOW 8 YEARS. I WENT TO VISIT HIM AT BAMC AND FOUND HE MOVED TO OREGON. VERY SAD TO FIND I COULDN'T THANK HIM PERSONALLY. APPOINTMENT TIME WAS HARD TO FIT IN BECAUSE EVERYONE WANTED HIM. HIS STAFF ALL NEW WHEN I VISITED EVEN SAID HE WAS THE BEST TO WORK WITH! YOU OREGONEANS ARE LUCKY, HE TRULY IS DEDICATED, AND I MISS HIM DEARLY AS NO ONE ELSE HAS BEEN SO SKILLED.
