David R. Hughes, DDS, was born into a dental family (his father and brother are dentists) and was raised in Northern Virginia. He received a liberal arts education at the University of Virginia before graduating first in his class from the VCU/Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. Dr. Hughes also completed his specialty residency in orthodontics at VCU/MCV, which offers one of the most competitive orthodontic programs in the country.
