Summary

The cornea specialist addresses many issues that are vital to the focusing apparatus of the eye. There are many diseases that can reduce the clarity which may need treatment with drops or surgery to restore vision.

Dr. Hull joined our department in June of 1974 after being recruited by Dr. Malcolm Luxenberg. He was full time in the Department of Ophthalmology until retiring in the year 2000. During his tenure he was very actively involved in both the clinical and basic science arenas. In the basic science venue he collaborated extensively with the late Dr. Keith Green. Clinically, many residents were trained on his service. Since retirement he continues to be involved in the department. His primary involvement in the department now is aimed at the instruction of residents in matters of cornea and external disease. He is well respected and often will take the residents back to the Department library to review slides and look at the old texts, e.g. Duke Elder's classic work showing how these texts, while not readily used currently still are a great resource for ophthalmology. He continues to be involved in the resident applicant interview process. He was well loved by his patients too who for many years after his departure was still inquired after.

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.
