David Hurst, MD

I read the other review left about Dr. Hurst and I was a little confused. Dr. Hurst is a pediatric cardiologist not a pediatrician. I feel the stars are not reflective of the service he provides. My son has been having issues with SVT for 4 years now. Dr. Hurst has always been extremely helpful and knowledgeable when I have questions and has done his best to try capturing an episode on a heart monitor. Unfortunately SVT is hard to capture and his skin was too sensitive for the glue for the heart monitor. He referred me to an excellent cardiologist in Vanderbilt and we opted for the EP Study with potentially an implanted loop device. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Hurst.

I took my child to him 3 times and he could not tell me what is wrong with my child. Then, we went to another pediatrician and the other pediatrician immediately knew what was the problem with my child. Also, Rivertown Pediatrics in general is so snooty, the wait times are always close to 2 hours and everything there is so impersonal. I would not recommend this factory kind of approach to caring for children.
